Winner: highstreet neighbourhood was a visual art project based in the centre of Paignton. Artist Holly Smith and curator Gareth Ballyn have worked with several local organisations including Torbay Arts Development, ROC Creative and shopkeepers on Winner Street to develop this celebration of Winner Street.
Winner: highstreet neighbourhood celebrates Winner Street through the launch of a shop, a map, a model, portraits, new art work and events!
The Winner: highstreet neighbourhood shop at 93, Winner Street opened on the 3rdJune 2012 (during Jubilee weekend) and exhibited art work made by Smith and also by local groups Holly and Gareth worked with.
The artist made map of Winner Street was launched in late May and is now available here - http://highstreetneighbourhood.blogspot.co.uk/p/map-and-soundtrack.html you can still find the map to take away from Paignton Library and Paignton Tourist information.
Also at Paignton Library during June was a scale model of Winner Street made by Curledge Street Primary school and portraits of shopkeepers on Winner Street done by the artists at ROC Creative.

We had a programme of events throughout June which were all based in and around No.93. These events were free and included exhibitions, artist talks and history tours. The programme of events published on this blog were also available at venues including Paignton Library, Palace Theatre and other venues around Paignton/Torbay.
No.93 Winner Street opened on Sunday June 3rd 2012 and closed on Friday June 29th 2012
The exhibition at Paignton Library opened 7th June 2012 for one month (visit www.torbay.gov.uk/libraries/librarylocations/paigntonlibrary.htm for opening times)
The map will be available on line and at various venues from late May 2012.
